Team Structure

Based in London, Hong Kong and Dubai, our dedicated team provides specialist advice on construction and engineering disputes around the world. We act for a diverse client base of contractors, government bodies, public authorities, private developers, funders and other stakeholders involved in high value construction and engineering work.
You can expect to advise on a broad range of construction disputes including those arising from commercial, industrial, power, transport, infrastructure, retail, hotel and leisure, energy and utilities.

 

  • Experience of International Disputes is an advantage but not essential.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a hugely successful team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Qualified lawyer with proven and extensive experience in Construction law
  • Ability to acquire, consolidate and apply fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of the law
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and numerical skills
  • Organised and able to work to strict deadlines with the ability to prioritise realistically
  • Good housekeeping/file management practices; manages and records time promptly and accurately
  • Resilient with the ability to handle setbacks and pressure
  • A self-starter, able to work alone and within a small team
  • Cooperative and collaborative in approach and is able to develop excellent working relationships at all levels and roles
  • Ability to always operate professionally and proactively
  • Exhibits an understanding of the Firm’s position in the market and how it distinguishes its services from its competitors
  • Excellent academic and professional qualifications

Attributes/Skills Required

  • Clear, concise and unambiguous preparation and drafting of relevant documentation
  • Conducting legal research using internal and external knowledge management resources
  • Assisting in the preparation of legal articles
  • Liaison with clients under the supervision of a partner
  • Developing own informal internal and external network of contacts
  • Building excellent working relationships with clients and peers within SH
  • Attending business development and profile raising events (client seminars, graduate recruitment activities)
